Bambú’s New Titles: When Books Are Our Best Company

When times feel uncertain, books become our most steadfast companions. They open new worlds, bring humor and smiles, and remind us of the power of stories to move, comfort, inspire, and encourage reflection.

In this spirit, we are thrilled to present a selection of new titles for young readers, introducing exciting genres to our catalogue, including our first historical romance and a lively theatrical comedy:

A Magician at Court by Alba Quintas blends magic, romance, and political intrigue in Madrid, 1870. Seventeen-year-old Ventura meets a mysterious magician visiting the court of Amadeo of Savoy and her life is transformed.

A bold new direction for our catalogue that we cannot wait to share worldwide.

Fernando Lalana’s The Armored Chamber is a hilarious, fast-paced theatrical comedy perfect for reading aloud in classrooms, by amateur theater groups, or even by fans of Money Heist. Full of chaos, clever twists, and a playful guide to theater, it captures the imagination of young performers and readers alike.

Fans of cozy mystery will love the return of the Coscorrón sisters in The Mystery of the Secret Library by Anna Cabeza. Quirky, clever, and delightfully chaotic, these grandmas turn every case into a laugh-out-loud adventure. Their new case: tracking down the missing books of The Chatty Library while causing chaos, cracking jokes, and solving mysteries in their signature style.

For illustrated adventures, Palomín by David Nel·lo follows a country dove from the Ampurdán, as he journeys to Extremadura, meets new friends, and returns home with a more curious and adventurous spirit. A tender Bildungsroman that young readers will relate to.

For short stories lovers, Why the Tiger Fears Fire gathers myths and legends, from across Latin America, selected and adapted by renowned children’s and YA literature specialist Ana Garralón. Beautifully illustrated by Luis San Vicente, this anthology invites readers to explore the magic, mysteries, and fascinating stories of rich cultural traditions.

All these titles and more are in our 2026 Bambú Catalogue, a valuable resource for international agents and publishers. We look forward to welcoming you at stand H29 D3 at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair to share stories, inspiration, and our love of reading. Just stop by to say hello or drop us a line!
