The Adventures of George Macallan. A Stray Bullet

A former officer in the Confederate Army, George Macallan has spent more than two years in prison for spying during the US Civil War. But an unexpected visit gives his future a twist when Jasper Daniels, the governor of the state of Nebraska, offers him a deal: he will release him if he can solve a strange series of deaths that have caused panic in the town of Elkhorn. George Macallan heads towards an uncertain fate… as uncertain as the laws of the Old West.
